March Favourites | 2015

2015 March Title.jpg

Hard to believe that spring is finally here. It is so exciting to think that April is the month where flowers and trees start to blossom and I can finally put away that thick black winter coat of mine!

I would like to share with you my March Favourites. This is a new series that I will be starting at the end of every month. I have so much to share from this month, so grab your tea and let’s get started!

Urban Decay Naked Palette. I received this palette as a gift and I am completely in love with the quality and pigmentation of this product! Before this palette, I rarely put on eye shadow during the week for work and now I use it every single morning. If you like shimmery neutral colours, then this is the palette for you. The colours last you all day without using any kind of primer. The one that I have is the original and I absolutely love it. Even though I got this as a gift, I think this palette is worth the investment.

Too Faced Better Than Sex MascaraSince my makeup routine is very basic, I always splurge on mascaras since it's the only makeup product that I rely on the most. I've tried a lot of different brands and I have to say that this mascara is the best one that I have tried. I'm very picky when it comes to mascaras and this mascara visibly volumizes and lengthens my eyelashes. I love how you don't need to apply many coats to achieve the "fake lashes" effect.

Skincare Favourite

Boscia Konjac Cleansing Sponge With Deep Hydrating ClayThis product has surprised me. I didn't think it would be anything special but it has done so much for my skin. I like how it cleanses and exfoliates without any irritation and is very gentle on my face. I use it in the shower and then hang it up on my shower caddy to dry.

Book Favourite

Maybe Someday by Colleen HooverWords can't express how much I love this book! I think I may have found my new favourite author. Colleen Hoover's writing in this novel is fantastic and she definitely knows how to make a story come to life. I can see myself reading this book over and over again (it is literally that good - trust me on this). This is an original story and I have never read anything like it. It's about a 22 year old girl named Sydney who discovers that her boyfriend has been sleeping with her best friend/roommate leaving her devastated and alone with no where to go other than her neighbor's apartment, the other narrator named Ridge. Ridge has been having writers block when it came to writing lyrics for his job so he collaborates with Sydney, who is quite passionate about songs and music. Without giving too much away, the story is about how music and lyrics bring the two characters together. There are a couple of twists in this story that will prevent you from putting the book down. At the beginning, you really have to have an open mind to what Colleen tosses in front of you but she has a way in writing where you start to adapt to the idea and will have you permanently hooked on the book.

Tea Favourite

Yogi Green Tea Kombucha. This has been the only green tea that I have been drinking lately. It not only smells amazing but it is very refreshing. It’s one of those teas where you can drink it straight up without adding any kind of sweetener to it. Overall, it has a great flavour and taste unlike other green teas.

Music Favourite

Make You Mine by Us The Duo. This song has definitely been my favourite last month. They are husband and wife folk-pop duo. This song is super catchy and has been on repeat a lot in my household.

What have you been loving in the month of March?

Talk to you soon,
